I started fasting many years ago—I gained 80lbs+ during my pregnancy and was 230lbs at my heaviest—bigger than I had ever been. I hated the way I looked—I was huge! None of my clothes, fit my face looked swollen, my feet went up 2 shoe sizes, my thighs rubbed, I had hideous stretch marks—needless to say my confidence and self esteem was crushed. My weight affected my relationships, how I viewed myself and even my personality—I was depressed and even started acting out of character.
I was blessed to have a healthy baby and a mate who loved me regardless—but I had to do something to regain myself and get back to me. I avoided taking photos during my pregnancy but thier are a few before photos that I will reluctantly share. I gained so much weight during the first months of my pregnancy my OB put me on a strict diet, I was gaining almost 10lbs a month—depressed and binge eating—I was told not to gain any more weight and was frequently tested for diabetes. My baby was almost 10lbs forcing me to have a csection—after she birth she was also frequently tested for diabetes. I felt so bad and guilty every time they stuck her to draw blood—she was a huge baby because I was a glutton during my pregnancy—okay end rant.
So that’s a little back story on how I got so huge and my motivation to bring my weight down to my pre-baby weight of 150lbs and never being fat again. I hit my weight goal before my daughter turned 1 year old and everyone asked how did I make such a dramatic snap back so quickly.
